McKeown, Geraldine
All original artwork framed.
A native of
Maryland, Geraldine McKeown has been painting since childhood. She lives in the 1855 farmhouse of her
Irish ancestors situated on land that has been in her family for seven
generations. Her paintings reflect
this deep sense of heritage and love of the rural Maryland countryside. She studied art at Towson University
and the Barnes Foundation and has taught watercolor for over 20 years.
Geraldine
is the recipient of the BWS Silver Medal for watercolor and a number of other
regional and national awards including being selected as one of the top 100
painters in the prestigious Arts for the Parks National Competition.
She
is a signature member of the national Watercolor Society, Baltimore Watercolor
Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Water Color
Society. Her paintings are in
numerous private, public and corporate collections including MBNA, AT&T,
DuPont and celebrities Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover, to mention a few.
