Over the years, Henry Meier has earned signature memberships in the Allied Artist of America, Baltimore Watercolor Society, Coast Guard Art Program, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Water Color Society and Watercolor West. He is both a signature member and a fellow in the American Artists Professional League, and served as director and membership chairman of the Philadelphia Water Color Society for many years. That organization also presented him wit the Crest Medal in 2004 based on his award achievements.
He was awarded Best in Show by the Philadelphia Water Color Society in 1989 and received the PWCS Isa Barnett Memorial Award for his painting “Cutting Bait” in 2004. Henry is currently a faculty member of the Rehoboth Art league, where he presents workshops and demonstrations to share his talents with other artists.
His paintings appear in many corporate and private collections; examples include CIGNA, DuPont Europe in
Geneva, Hotel DuPont, MBNA America, Medical Center of Delaware, the United States Coast Guard, Wilmington Trust Co. and the Winterthur Foundation. PNC Bank has honored Henry as an Artist of the year and sold an entire print issue of a commissioned painting.
